Cynthia Louise McKinney Obituary – The Reno Journal-Gazette and Mason Valley News
Cynthia Louise McKinney died on May 26, 2022 at the age of 58 in Bend, Oregon, surrounded by her loved ones. Cyndi was born in Reno, Nevada, to her parents, Charles and Maxine. She grew up in the Reno/Sparks area and graduated from Sparks High School. She had a successful career in hospitality and hotel management and raised three children in Nevada with their father Mark. Cyndi enjoyed camping, water skiing, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She was a beautiful, strong, vivacious woman, who loved a lot, knew no strangers, and whose wild, infectious laughter was punctuated by an adorable little sniffle. She was also a spectacular cook. Her proudest accomplishment was her children and she loved being a grandmother. His last act of generosity was to give the gift of life through organ donation. Cyndi was predeceased by her beloved father, Charles. She is survived by her children, Joshua, Anthony and Sarah, her mother Maxine, her siblings Linda, Vivian and Mike, her partner, Jose, her dogs, River and Mable, and her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation in Cyndi’s memory to the animal welfare charity of your choice.
