Marriott signs deal with Sunnyland to bring executive apartments to Australia
Marriott International will bring the first Marriott Executive Apartments to Australia under an agreement with Melbourne-based property development company Sunnyland Investment Group.
The 180-suite hotel, which will be located at 472-474 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne, will be part of a mixed-use development comprising approximately 244 fully residential apartments with premium amenities and services.

Construction on the $170 million project is expected to begin in 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-2026.
Marriott International Area, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Vice President Sean Hunt said the signing demonstrates Marriott’s commitment to expanding its presence in Australia.
“Despite the challenges our industry has faced over the past 25 months, we have opened W Melbourne, Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands and Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne Flagstaff Gardens, adding three hotels in Melbourne this year – bringing our total number hotels in Melbourne to eight,” Hunt said.
