Positano is on everyone’s list in Italy, and this guide takes tourists on a different route through its historic seaside streets.

Positano is a hillside village on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, in southern Italy. Positano seems like a gigantic prism at first glance, with classic, colorful houses and shops on every floor. With a charming seaside village and the rolling hills of Italy’s famous Amalfi Coast, this is the pinnacle of Italian dolce vita.

The hamlet, in all its rural grandeur, is a delight for travelers who prefer the archaic and artistic value as well as certain conscientious activities. It’s a draw for the elite. Positano overlooks the ocean and welcomes the glorious sun, with corresponding elements decorating the city’s curved passageways.

  • Nearest airport – Naples Capodichino – 65 Km
  • Visitors can hire a taxi. It will take about 80 minutes to reach the destination from the airport.

Trek

Tourists will enter a world of endless landscapes, deserted windmills and waterfalls deep inside coastal forests along several routes that start in the beautiful villages of Positano.

Hike on the path of the gods

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Difficulty level: Moderately exhausting
  • The Walk of the Gods, also known as Sentiero Delle Dei, is the Amalfi Coast’s best-known trek and Italy’s most popular hiking trail, attracting hordes of tourists every year.
  • The road was first carved into the seashore by 8th century Athenian immigrants. The promenade of the gods, perched high on the slopes and overlooking the shore, offers travelers a breathtaking view of Amalfi.
  • The hike is suitable for people of all fitness levels.


The Valla Delle Ferriere hike

  • Distance: 6 km
  • Duration: 4 hours
  • This route originally prepared the way for the iron chariots of traders carrying their goods to the trading port of Amalfi, with the peaceful murmur of the river through the Ferrière Forest Reserve.
  • This hiking trail on the Amalfi Coast is known for its calm rainforest atmosphere, beautiful waterfalls, native flora and animals.
  • Beach lovers usually overlook the splendor of the Valle Delle Ferriere in pursuit of the white sands of the Amalfi Coast.
  • The pleasant aroma of lemon groves, vines, and the rustic touch of medieval masonry that visitors will encounter at every turn, nonetheless make this a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.


Explore the Church of Santa Maria Assunta

  • La Chiesa Di Santa Maria Assunta is perched on a hill with stunning sea views.
